From Photographer to Registered Author: A Milestone in My Creative Journey

June 2022 marked a milestone in my creative journey: the publication of my photobook Puerto Galera Through My Eyes (ISBN: 979-8-21-039005-9), now available for purchase on Amazon here. This project, a decade in the making, is a visual love letter to my hometown—a place of unmatched beauty and deep personal meaning.

Completing this photobook was a monumental achievement, but the journey didn’t end there. Fueled by my passion to preserve Puerto Galera’s story, I took an unexpected yet rewarding step: applying for registration with the National Book Development Board of the Philippines.

After diligently completing the requirements and undergoing evaluation, I was thrilled to receive approval. A few months later, I held my certificate of registration, officially recognized as a Registered Author/Writer.

This milestone is a testament to the power of dedication and perseverance. Not everyone gets the chance to pursue their passion, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have followed mine. Puerto Galera Through My Eyes is more than just a photobook—it’s a celebration of my hometown’s charm and a legacy for future generations.
